Key to your Victory

Are your enemies plotting against you? Are your enemies using your relationship with God to attack or plotting your downfall? Are people using your love for God against your interest? Are people using your work God to deny you of your entitlement?

Why are you angry, downcast, unhappy, or even complaining to God or unhappy at God? To cap it, you have gone to God in anger and promised and also threatened, that if He does not do one thing or the other or destroy your enemies or change the situation within a time limit, you will stop serving Him, you will go the way of the world or you will seek solution some where else.

You have certainly forgotten that for God to mightily promote you, destroy or shame the enemies and glorify His name publicly, their efforts need to be well pronounced. Ask Daniel (Daniel 6:1-28). As long as sin is not in your life (Daniel 6:5 Then these men said, "We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God." God will neither leave nor forsake you. He is never surprised. Nothing catches Him unaware.

It is written that surely they will gather but because their gathering is not of Him, their plans will come certainly to nothing (Psa 33:10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect). Remember, He didn't say they will not gather, plot or plan to do you harm. He said you will overcome. He said He will surely be with us through the ages.

He said be of good cheer for He has overcome the world already (John 16:33). That is even before the enemies start plotting.

The key to your victory is to be without sin in your life. Daniel's enemies couldn't find any sin in him. Can your enemies and friends alike find any sin in your life or can God find any sin in your life? If so, God's protection will be hampered.

I have news for you. What you have done before now or are doing even now and it's consequence in your life can be removed and make you sin free so the enemies are decapitated. Invite Jesus into your life and ask Him to forgive you now. Romans 10:9-10, 13 says.... that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. For "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Let the enemies find nothing in your life but the love of and for God.

This is the last days of the year and appropriate time to do a stocktaking of the year to know if indeed you have succeeded or not. What goals did you set at the beginning of the year? To what extent did you get at fulfilling these goals? Whether you succeeded or not or did you get to achieve a considerable level or not? What really motivated you or distracted you during the course of the tear? Dividing your goals between spiritual or material goals, which one did you succeed at, and will you say there was or is a relationship between the two? Is each of the two mutually exclusive? This is my witty God...Could you have imagined it?

Are you righteous? What makes a person righteous? Man has always strived to be righteous. To attain this, we strive to be religious; strive to be good; strive to do right; etc. However, man is inherently evil from the womb. You do not need to teach a child to be selfish, to lie, or to do anything bad. You have to teach a child how to be good. Why are you doing what you are doing? Is it for the financial reward or for the love of it? Reward is the opium or energy that propels us to desire or go for or engage in any activity. What are you doing? What is your expected reward? Is it instant reward you are after or time tested reward? For every endeavour, there is a fundamental reward we are all after with a subset of broken down or auxiliary reward. Whatever the reward that drives us in all our endeavours, it is known throughtout the ages that fleeting or instant reward is fraught with high risk and certainly not lasting. Who do you belong to and why that matters?

What have we that we were not given? What have you that you were not given? 1 Cor 4:7 - "For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive?... " This is really a true saying. Do you have any part to play in your existence? Did you have any part to play at deciding your gender - male or female? Job 2:10 says "For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being." (NLT) Since non of us have, why do we still behave as if we own and control everything including our own very lives. We ought to fully internalise this and realise this and allow the Lord to guide and direct our lives, our likes and dislikes, our emotions, our temperament, our hopes and aspirations and how we go about achieving these hopes and aspirations. We all have these aspirations in life but let the God that put these aspirations there guide and direct its actualisation. For, for His pleasure alone should we exist and live.
