The Lord God created man with full power as a god with all its inherent attributes. This power and ability is what gave man the supremacy over all creatures and the earth (Gen 1:28). As part of this power is man's ability to give names to everything on the earth (Gen 2:19b-20). This power is still very much ours till date and that is why we give names to our children, animals - including newly discovered species, articles, etc.
This is the God-like ability we have as humans. However, with authority comes responsibilities. It is man's responsibility to account for all our actions and even the actions of those under our authority - in law it is called vicarious liability.
If it's written in Rom 6:16 - "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Even though God is our God and Master, He, for the love a father had for his children, never really wanted us to relate with him out of fear but love because with love in operation, each party freely gives to each other without compulsion.
However, the day Adam and Eve rebelled against God through disobedience and obeyed Satan, whether through whatever means, but certainly out of self will, he became subject and servant to Satan and automatically took up enmity against God. Sin became dominant in our lives because the God-spirit in us died.
God was certainly saddened by this occurrence as can be seen in the statement Gen 3:13 - "And the LORD God said unto the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." Good because of His fatherly love, immediately put in place plan for man's redemption from this fallen state to his previous godly state.
Now, the question is, why will God go to the extent of sacrificing His son Jesus for the songs of man, to redeem man? Heb 9:22 says "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Ever so more, man continues to defy, deny, violate, etc, God yet He stands by His statement and action of eternal love to man through His actions of John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Some people find it difficult to believe that Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." is all that is needed to be redeemed and reconciled to God and experience total peace in place of tumult and pain in our lives, healing and good health in place of sickness, comfort in place of sorrow, help (and I mean total and absolute help) when in trouble, protection in place of fear, understanding and love in place of commendation.
The answer to all these above can be found in Exodus 34:5-7 - "And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].“ This shows that the reason Lord God could make Romans 8:1 ([There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.) a fact in a man's life is because He is merciful, gracious, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, and His mercy is totally limitless. He is actually very quick and eager to forgive all our iniquity, and transgression and sin more than we are ready and willing to repent. That is why Jesus already died for us while we are still rejecting Him. He did not wait for us to repent, His love for us compelled Him to sacrifice Jesus before hand - Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
So, ladies and gentlemen, whosoever you are, whatsoever you must have done, and I mean WHATSOEVER, the Lord God is willing and more than willing to wipe the slate clean and give you a new beginning. He affirms this in Romans 8:1 as quoted above when He says "([There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.)" The flesh there talks about sin and the spirit talks about righteousness. If you have not accepted the Lord Jesus as your saviour, you are encouraged to do it now because you have no control over the next moment or tomorrow. That is why in 2 Cor 6:2, it is categorically started that "...behold now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation."
Do it as it is directed in Rom 10:9-10 today and pray like this: "Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my sins and repent of the them today. Please forgive me all my sins. I believe that you came and died for my sins and on the third day you rose up for my justification. I believe and thank you for forgiving me my sins. I accept you now as my Lord and Saviour. Holy Spirit of God, I invite you now to come into my heart and recreate your right spirit in me. I believe you have done this now in my heart. I believe I am born again. Thank you Jesus for in Jesus name I pray."
If you have prayed this prayer above, I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart. I now advise you to locate any Bible believing church or fellowship around you, share this experience with them and they shall help you to grow in this new power and authority you have just been bestowed with.
